Adult Formation at St. Anne offers several opportunities for adults to explore and grow in their faith outside worship services. The brochure linked below lists the ideas for this year, although plans may change depending on our available clergy. Watch the Sunday bulletin announcements or "This Week At St. Anne" weekly digital newsletter for updates on these as well as news about new offerings. For general questions, see Alissa Gannaway at email@example.com or the contacts for each group.
Current activities include:
Adult Forum: Sunday mornings 9:45 - 10:30, we explore a wide variety of topics, as outlined in the brochure at the link below - for more information click on the Adult Forum link at the right or contact Patty Cargill at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Women’s Book Group: This gathering of women began meeting in July of 2013 at the Transfiguration Spirituality Center in Glendale to discuss A Year with Thomas Merton. In addition to monthly meetings (currently designated Thursdays at 7 pm), the group hosts a Facebook page/blog to share reflections between meetings. Contact Ministry Coordinator Alissa Gannaway for more information at email@example.com.
Men's Book Group: This gathering of men (of any age) meets monthly on Sunday evening at a variety of local pubs for spirited discussion of a recently-published book—and occasionally travel to a local cinema for the same treatment of a newly-released film. The titles range from deeply theological to best-seller/popular literature. Parishioners Bill Pearce and Rob Turley spearhead this informal—but deeply formative—gathering of men. A recent development has found some of the guys’ spouses gathering in another area of the same establishment for their own “gals’ night out” as the guys solve the problems of the text (and, no doubt, the world). For more information contact Bill at firstname.lastname@example.org or Rob at email@example.com.
