trio sitting in pewsAdult Education

Too often we’re seduced into believing that “Sunday School is for kids” - and opportunities to deepen and strengthen our ongoing formation into the likeness of Jesus are tragically forgotten or ignored. Learning is a lifetime vocation—and a wonderful opportunity to continually be surprised, amazed, enlivened and empowered by the creativity of our God—in fact, when we stop learning, we have effectively died!  St. Anne once again offers a full and varied program this year, seeking to address many facets of our lives with “food for the journey.”
Come and see what God has in store for us as we are encouraged and empowered to grow ever more fully into the image of Jesus, God’s Son

Adult Forum
Sundays, 9:45-10:35 a.m.
Sunday’s Forum program takes its structure from the classical disciplines undergirding our practice of the Christian faith:  prayer and worship, study, giving and service.

Periodic “enrichment” sessions on weeknights/weekends give the opportunity to delve deeper (and for children’s class teachers, to enjoy some time as students, themselves).

The Healing Ministry
Dates & times to be announced
Periodic “Praying Effectively in 5 Minutes” training sessions are required of all persons called to become part of the Prayer Station Ministry offered on Sunday mornings.  Contact Kay Bunke or the clergy to express your interest in exploring this ministry.  Ongoing monthly “lab sessions” are offered (generally the 1st Sunday of each month). These sessions are open to all.  Their content is drawn from Christian Healing Ministries’ “Foundations 2” series.

Network
October 1-2, 2010 & January 7-8, 2011

Ever feel like a square peg trying to fit into a round hole?  Network is a seminar designed to help you find exactly the right place for you “in the Body”.  Participants will study God’s Spirit and the wonderful gifts the Spirit has already placed within each believer.  Personal “style” (how you prefer to operate), “passion” (where you’d like to make a difference) and spiritual gifts are brought together into a very helpful profile.

Stephen Ministry
Dates & times to be announced
Stephen Ministry offers a complete system for training and organizing lay people to provide one-to-one Christian care to  people (hurting or “experiencing transition”) in and around our congregation.  Trained leaders of St. Anne and Mason United Methodist Church will offer 52 hours of training in the method and system of “becoming Christ for others” in a very powerful way.  Contact Ed Sweeney,  Mtr. TJ or  Fr. Jeff for more information!
